1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ParlezApp, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. ParlezApp is operated by ParlezApp, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

2. The Service

ParlezApp provides AI-powered French language learning, including audio lessons, conversation practice, and progress tracking. We offer France French (🇫🇷) and Québécois French (🇨🇦) tracks across CEFR levels A1 through C2. Features and content may change over time as we improve the platform.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use ParlezApp. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

ParlezApp offers a 7-day trial for $9.99, followed by monthly subscription plans. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice

5. AI Conversation Credits

Each subscription plan includes a monthly allocation of AI conversation minutes. Unused minutes do not roll over to the next month. Credits from promotional codes or beta access are non-transferable and have no cash value.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the audio library or curriculum
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to interact with the AI conversation feature
• Submit harmful, abusive, or offensive content during AI conversation sessions

7. Intellectual Property

All content in ParlezApp — including audio lessons, curriculum, exercises, and the AI system — is owned by or licensed to ParlezApp. You may use the content for your personal learning only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

ParlezApp is provided "as is." While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that AI conversation responses are error-free. Language learning results vary by individual. We do not guarantee specific exam scores or outcomes. The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ParlezApp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ParlezApp. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
